Appointments

Non-urgent advice: How to schedule an appointment:

  • By phone Our on the day and pre-bookable appointments with a GP and ANP are released at 8am each morning. For routine appointments with a practice nurse or HCA, we would advise to call after 9am.
  • Via Patchs You can consult with a clinician online by clicking here. PATCHS requires you to complete a short health form online. This will then be sent through to the practice and you will receive a response within 48 hours. This may be either with advice or an appointment (where available). Please note, that you should not use patchs for any urgent issues
  • Via NHS App or Patient Access We currently have appointments available to book with our practice nurse and health-care assistants via the apps. It is down to you, as the patient, to decide which app you would prefer to use. Patient Access is a third party provider, and at one time, one of the only providers to offer online services. The NHS App has grown in popularity since its use during COVID and has been developed with NHS England to provide more features. Both apps are very similar in nature and it is your choice which you decide to use. With Patient Access, you can book and manage GP appointments, order prescriptions and view your medical record. You get all these same features with NHS App, as well as being able to access advice online and view/manage hospital appointments. You can contact the practice for registration details or go straight to your app store to download either 'Patient Access' or the 'NHS App'
  • In person Our reception desk is open from 8:15am if would prefer to arrange an appointment this way.

Non-urgent advice: How we manage our Appointments and what you should know:

How our appointments are released:

  • GP + ANP - At 8am, appointments are released for that day and a handful of appointments are released for exactly two weeks ahead to be prebooked. We would recommend calling at 8am to book an appointment with a GP or ANP.
  • All other clinicians (including nurse, healthcare assistant, physiotherapist, pharmacist) - Appointments are prebookable up to 8 weeks in advance. We would recommend calling after 9am if you are looking to schedule a routine appointment with one of these clinicians.

Appointment Times: Across our clinicians, morning clinics range from 8:30am until noon. Our afternoon clinics begin from 1pm until close. We have a variety of appointment times available and will always work with you to schedule the most convenient for you.

Extended Access: Outside of our usual opening hours, we also offer an extended appointment service on Thursday evenings with routine appointments available with a GP between 18:30 - 21:30, and on weekends at an alternate location.

Home Visits: If you are housebound and unable to attend the practice for an appointment, please telephone the practice before 10:30am (where possible) to request a doctor to visit you at home. Not all requests will result in a home visit, the doctor may call the patient to discuss the problem and an alternate to a home visit may be agreed.

Non-urgent advice: Cancelling an Appointment

Please ensure that if you no longer require your appointment, that you inform us as soon as possible. You can cancel your appointment by phoning the practice, via the NHS App/Patient Access or by clicking the link that you will recieve in your appointment reminder that is sent to you 48 hours before.

We monitor our appointments and frequent excessive 'Did Not Attend' can lead to a breakdown in the relationship between the Practice and patient and may result in removal from our list.

Please help us to ensure we are maximising our appointment availability. By cancelling your appointment that is no longer required, this allows us to offer it to another patient who needs it.
