The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team accepts referrals for all children up to the age of 18. This service is ran through your local Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) team.

Appointments are available face to face or virtual and will be with a mental health professional.

Referrals are accepted by this service for all low-level and more severe mental health concerns.

For a referral to this service, please contact the practice on 01244 382238 and arrange an appointment with the GP.

If you are a parent and have concerns regarding youir child and are not sure what next steps to take, please call the CAMHS mental health hub on 01606 555 118 (Mon - Fri 09:00 - 17:00) who will be able to discuss this with you and advise.

ADHD and Autism Assessments

If you have concerns that your child may have ADHD or Autism, we strongly advise you to contact your child's school who will be able to arrange referral. The school are aware of the relevant information and paperwork that needs to be submitted to the local ADHD or Autism Team.

Unfortunately, the GP does not arrange referrals for children of school age for Autism or ADHD, unless you are a new patient and there has is already a diagnosis in place and a transfer of care is required.
