Non-urgent advice: Andys Man Club
Andys Man Club (Chester) is a registered charity providing a peer to peer support group for men aged 18 and over. Thee are over 200 locations across the UK. Non-urgent advice: Healthbox
Healthbox is a counselling services for patients registered with the practice who are suffering from low-grade mental health problems. The service offers counselling sessions, either face to face or telephone, for 6-8 weeks. Please contact the practice directly if you'd like to access this counselling.
Non-urgent advice: Crisis Cafe (no.71)
The Crisis Cafe is a local, safe space for anyone to attend if in a mental health crisis. The Crisis Cafe can offer a place for patients to attend if they need NON-CLINICAL support.
They are a non-judgemental, calm and creative space offering non-clinical crisis support both in person and on the phone. The service is for anyone 18+ experiencing a self-defined crisis/feeling distressed in Cheshire West and Chester. Please note, they are unable to offer support to anyone under the influence of drugs/alcohol.
They offer a very varied activity schedule, all aiming towards building resilience and improving wellbeing/mental health.

Non-urgent advice: Mental Health Helpline
People who require urgent mental health support can call the Cheshire and Wirral Mental Health Helpline on 0800 145 6485.
This phone line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is open to people of all ages.

Non-urgent advice: NHS Talking Therapies
You can self-refer to NHS Cheshire West and Central Cheshire Talking Therapies. They are a free and confidential service available to anyone aged 16 and over, registered with a GP in Central, South and West Cheshire. The service exclusively offers evidence-based, short-term talking therapies designed to help with common mental health concerns, such as:
- Low Mood
- Anxiety or worry
- Stress
- Depression

Non-urgent advice: Primary Care Mental Health Team
You can refer for counselling support, either by visiting the NHS talking therapies website (as above), or by phoning 0151 488 8348.
Your GP can also refer you, please contact the practice if you would prefer to consult with the GP first.
